Boat Plans Stitch And Glue | Laminating Deck Carlins Filleting

Boat Plans Stitch And Glue

Ive waited to install the deck carlins because there shape is taken from the installed deck house. I made a template out of scrap plywood to get the shape and am laminating them to the curve out of 2 pieces each.

Pulled the wires and added fillets on the exterior and interior of the house. The interior corners were masked off prior to applying the fillets to keep things neat. Here is some of the exterior filleting.

Boat Trailer Plans Australia | Sail Hoisted

Boat Trailer Plans Australia

I hoisted the sail up to see how things look and get a feel for boom height and how much mast will need to be trimmed down. Looking forward to a test sail before too long. I still have to finish fabricating the furling system and bolt on the rudder, set up the steering rope and some other hardware before she will be ready to hit the water for the first time.
